In the Spring of 2022, Doug served as the Nomination Advisor for Legislative Affairs to President Joe Biden leading the selection, nomination, and successful confirmation of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the United States Supreme Court.

Jerome Lyle Rappaport Distinguished Visiting Professor - 2022

In Spring 2022, Doug will be taught a seminar entitled, “The United States Senate Today: How It Works; Why It Doesn’t,” which will be a real-time study of the day-to-day workings of the United States Senate. Students will act as staffers for a US Senator throughout the semester with class time serving as the Senator’s weekly staff meeting.
